An Independent Agency Means More Than One Choice
Kryder Cares is not tied to a single insurance company. We do not offer every plan available in your area. Currently, we represent 14 organizations which offer 119 products in your area. That means Kris can line up plans from different companies side by side and walk you through how they differ.
You can see the companies Kris works with on the carrier partners page. Plan choices depend on your county and state, and they can change from one year to the next, so a plan that fit you last year may not fit you this year.
What a Consultation With Kris Looks Like
A consultation is simply a conversation. Kris asks about your doctors, your prescriptions, your budget and how you like to get care. Then she explains your options in plain English and answers every question you have. There is no cost and no pressure to enroll that day, or at all.
You can meet at the Perrysburg office at 842 W South Boundary St, or talk by phone or video. Office hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. If you’d like to get a head start, you can send your medication list through the Rx drug lookup form before your appointment.
- Review your current coverage, doctors and prescriptions
- Compare plans from several companies side by side
- Check enrollment dates so you can avoid late penalties

Medicare Annual Enrollment for 2027: Oct 15 – Dec 7, 2026
The Medicare Annual Enrollment Period runs October 15 through December 7, 2026. Changes you make during this window take effect January 1, 2027. It is the main time each year to switch Medicare Advantage or Part D plans, or to return to Original Medicare.
Plans send an Annual Notice of Change each fall. Read it closely, since premiums, drug lists and provider networks may change. For 2027, the Part D out-of-pocket cap rises to $2,400. Kris can review your plan against your current prescriptions and doctors before the deadline. Learn more on the Medicare planning page.
ACA Open Enrollment for 2027 coverage runs Nov 1, 2026 – Jan 15, 2027. Enroll by Dec 15 for coverage that starts Jan 1.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Straight answers to what people ask Kris most.
Does it cost anything to meet with Kris Kryder?
No. Consultations with Kris are no-cost, no-obligation and no-pressure. She is paid by the insurance companies when you enroll in a plan, and the premium for a given plan is generally the same whether you enroll with an agent or on your own. You are never required to enroll in anything after a meeting.
Where is Kryder Cares located?
Kryder Cares is located at 842 W South Boundary St, Perrysburg, OH 43551. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. You can meet Kris in person at the office, or set up a phone or video appointment if that is easier for you. Call (419) 277-8097 to schedule.
What types of insurance does Kryder Cares offer?
Kryder Cares helps with Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, Part D drug plans, ACA Marketplace health insurance, short-term medical, dental, vision and hearing, hospital indemnity, and life insurance including term, whole, universal and final expense. Kris also works with annuities, long-term care, disability insurance and employee benefits for businesses.
Is Kryder Cares an independent insurance agency?
Yes. Kryder Cares is an independent agency, so Kris is not limited to one insurance company. We do not offer every plan available in your area. Currently, we represent 14 organizations which offer 119 products in your area. That lets Kris compare options from several companies for you.
When is Medicare open enrollment for 2027?
The Medicare Annual Enrollment Period for 2027 coverage runs from October 15 to December 7, 2026. Changes made during that window start January 1, 2027. If you are in a Medicare Advantage plan, you also get a second chance from January 1 to March 31, 2027 to switch Medicare Advantage plans once or return to Original Medicare.
Can Kris help me if I live outside Perrysburg or Toledo?
Yes. Kris works with clients all across northwest Ohio, and she is licensed in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and Florida. Phone and video appointments make it easy to work together if you live farther away. Plan choices vary by county and state, so Kris will look at the plans available where you live.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Bring your Medicare card or current insurance card, a list of your prescriptions with dosages, and the names of your doctors and preferred pharmacy. If you have a recent plan letter, such as an Annual Notice of Change, bring that too. Having this information ready helps Kris compare plans accurately in one visit.
Will working with an agent cost me more than enrolling on my own?
Generally, no. Insurance companies set plan premiums, and those premiums are generally the same whether you enroll through a licensed agent or directly. What an agent adds is guidance: Kris can explain the differences between plans, check your doctors and prescriptions, and stay available after you enroll if questions come up.
Can Kris help with ACA health insurance as well as Medicare?
Yes. Kris helps individuals and families under 65 with ACA Marketplace coverage, including people who are retiring early or are self-employed. Open Enrollment for 2027 coverage runs November 1, 2026 to January 15, 2027. Visit the individual and family health insurance page to learn more about your options.
