Companies We Work With
The companies below are the carriers named for the Ohio market, grouped by type of coverage. We do not offer every plan available in your area. Currently, we represent 14 organizations which offer 119 products in your area.
Seeing a company on this list does not mean every one of its plans is available to you. Kris will check the specific plans offered where you live during your consultation.
What a Carrier Appointment Means
To sell a company’s plans, an agent must be licensed by the state and then “appointed” by that insurance company. An appointment is a contract that allows Kris to explain, quote and enroll you in that company’s products. For Medicare plans, agents also complete annual training and certification with each company before they can help with that company’s plans.
Being appointed with several companies is what makes Kryder Cares an independent agency. Instead of steering you toward one company, Kris can lay out plans from different carriers and help you weigh Medicare Advantage against a Medicare Supplement, or compare ACA Marketplace plans.
Plan Availability Varies by County, State and Year
Insurance companies decide where to offer each plan. A Medicare Advantage plan sold in Wood County may not be sold in Lucas County, and plans in Michigan, Indiana or Florida are different again. Companies can also enter or leave a market, change networks, or adjust drug lists from one year to the next.
That is why Kris reviews your coverage before each Annual Enrollment Period and ACA Open Enrollment. If you are thinking about a change, request a quote and she will check the current options for your ZIP code.
