FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What insurance services does Kryder Cares offer?

Kryder Cares offers Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, Part D, Special Needs Plans, ACA Marketplace, short-term medical, dental, vision and hearing, hospital indemnity, term, whole and final expense life insurance, annuities, long-term care and disability insurance. Kris also works with businesses on employee benefits.

How do I know which type of insurance I need?

Start with your stage of life. If you are turning 65, Medicare comes first. If you are under 65 without employer coverage, look at ACA plans. Then think about gaps, such as dental, life insurance or long-term care. Kris can help you sort priorities in a no-cost, no-obligation consultation.

Can I get several types of coverage through one agent?

Yes. Kris is licensed to help with health, Medicare, life and supplemental coverage, so you can work with one person for many needs. That makes it easier to see how your policies fit together and to review everything at once each year. Kryder Cares works with multiple insurance companies.

Are these services available outside Ohio?

Kris is licensed in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and Florida. Most services are available in all four states, though plan choices and prices vary by state and county. Clients who move or spend winters in Florida can often keep working with Kris. Ask about the plans offered where you live.

What is the difference between Medicare and ACA health insurance?

Medicare is federal health insurance for people 65 and older and some younger people with disabilities. ACA Marketplace plans are private plans for people who buy their own coverage, generally under 65. Most people move from ACA or employer coverage to Medicare when they turn 65. Kris helps with both.

Does Kryder Cares help with retirement products like annuities?

Yes. Kris discusses fixed and fixed-indexed annuities, which offer principal protection and can provide income in retirement. Surrender periods apply, and guarantees are backed by the issuing insurer’s claims-paying ability. Kris is a licensed insurance agent, not a tax, legal or investment adviser.
